This jungle trek leads you through dense subtropical jungle to the summit of Mount Komi (469.5m), the highest peak on Iriomote Island. This round-trip course follows the Yutsun River to the summit and then returns the same route. The varied route, including the three-tiered Yutsun Waterfall, dense jungle, and a large monolithic slab, will keep you entertained throughout the 7-8 hour journey. The dense jungle just below the summit is particularly unique, even on Iriomote Island, and its cloud forest-like appearance is a rare sight in Japan. It's sure to be a fulfilling day, as you'll experience a subtropical landscape that feels almost unreal in Japan. As this is a designated Iriomote Island Natural Tourism Resource Area, access is restricted. *We can handle the application process on your behalf. Suitable for those who exercise regularly and have experience with mountain climbing. Please indicate your mountain climbing or sports experience within the past year on the reservation form.
